In one of the more popular episodes they chatted with the physiotherapist, Seth ONeil about Achilles tendinopathy. It was popular as Achilles tendinopathy is so common but is often poorly treated and there are several aspects of it treatment that are controversial and poorly understood. The purpose of the episode was to address those issues. In the episode they talked about whether this is an inflammatory condition or a degenerative condition or even if it could be both. They talked about how Seth assesses posterior ankle pain in clinic, which is not always due to Achilles tendinopathy. Seth also gave his thoughts on imaging appropriateness and timing and also why isometrics may not be the silver bullet for pain relief that so many promote it as being. Seth also hypothesed on how advice and education should probably out rank injection and shockwave therapy as being more effective.
